Egyptian Tax Authority Announces Second Phase of Tax Facilitation Measures

The Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) has revealed plans to officially roll out the second phase of tax facilitation measures within the coming days, following extensive community consultations, as part of the government’s broader efforts to foster confidence and long-term cooperation with the business sector.

Speaking at a meeting with the Egyptian-Belgian Business Association, ETA Chairperson Rasha Abdel Aal said the initiative reflects the Ministry of Finance’s commitment to creating a transparent and collaborative tax environment that supports compliant taxpayers and strengthens state–private sector integration.

Abdel Aal emphasized that Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk is keen on maintaining open dialogue with business associations and civil society entities, ensuring that tax policies are developed in line with market realities and investor requirements.

She added that the first tax facilitation package has already achieved measurable success by boosting voluntary compliance and resolving several accumulated challenges within the tax system. According to Abdel Aal, these efforts mark a decisive step toward establishing a more balanced, efficient, and sustainable taxation framework in Egypt.

The second package is expected to build on this momentum, further enhancing predictability and confidence across the business community.
