Hisham Mohy El-Din Appointed as CEO of IT & Projects at Egyptian Agricultural Bank
The Egyptian Agricultural Bank (EAB) announced the appointment of Hisham Mohy El-Din as Chief Executive Officer for the Information Technology and Projects Sector, as part of the bank’s strategy to modernize its technological infrastructure and internal systems.
The bank highlighted that this appointment aligns with its ongoing plan to enhance digital banking services, implement artificial intelligence applications, and expand the scope of digital solutions, aiming to provide a more advanced, secure, and user-friendly banking experience. This initiative complements Egypt’s national agenda for digital transformation and financial inclusion.
Hisham Mohy El-Din is recognized as a leading expert in banking technology, with over 25 years of professional experience. He has led several financial institutions through complex digital transformation projects, ensuring alignment between technological infrastructure and strategic business goals while fostering a culture of innovation.
Throughout his career, Mohy El-Din has held key leadership roles at prominent banks and financial institutions, including Commercial International Bank (CIB), Arab Bank, United Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), and the Egyptian Digital Payments Company (MDP).
The new CEO brings strong expertise in institutional change management, multi-sector strategic initiatives, digital banking, and payment systems, all of which will support EAB’s objectives to expand digital capabilities and develop next-generation banking services for its customers.
