Egypt Launches Advanced Tax Service Centers to Enhance Investor Experience
Rasha Abdel Aal, Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority, confirmed that the newly established Advanced Tax Service Centers, part of the second package of tax facilitation measures, represent a fundamental shift in government service delivery. The initiative follows directives from Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, to modernize the tax system and improve service quality for taxpayers and investors, ensuring speed, efficiency, and a citizen-centric approach.
Abdel Aal explained that the centers offer a comprehensive model of modern tax services, enabling all transactions to be completed in a single location using the latest technology and streamlined procedures. This approach significantly reduces service time, enhances taxpayer satisfaction, and eases pressure on traditional tax offices.
The design of these centers reflects a holistic approach to the taxpayer experience, emphasizing easy navigation, organized procedures, and efficient service without congestion or long waits. The goal is to rebrand the Tax Authority as a supportive partner for economic activity.
Services offered under one roof include tax registration, awareness of tax incentives, investor support, electronic invoicing and receipt systems, and technical support for digital platforms, fully realizing the one-stop-shop concept.
A key feature of the centers is the integration of artificial intelligence, which guides taxpayers, provides a smart tax assistant to answer queries, and equips tax staff with intelligent tools to process transactions quickly and accurately.
The taxpayer journey is clearly structured and simplified, from scheduling appointments and preparing documents online, to automated identity recognition, guidance upon entry, digital document receipt, and immediate service evaluation. This ensures continuous performance improvement.
Abdel Aal emphasized that these centers are a strategic step to strengthen Egypt’s investment climate, support business environments, and position the country among global leaders in modernizing government services, contributing to a robust and sustainable economy.
