Nvidia Confirms No Advance Payments Required for H200 AI Chips Despite Record Demand
Nvidia has announced that it does not require customers to make any advance payments to secure its advanced H200 AI chips, despite record demand in the artificial intelligence processor market and an ongoing global supply shortage.
The company emphasized that its sales policy for H200 chips remains unchanged, noting that supply continues to be managed under existing commercial agreements with partners and customers, without imposing prepayments for reservation or delivery guarantees.
Nvidia’s clarification follows recent market speculation and reports questioning whether the company might request upfront payments, amid surging demand from major technology firms and data center operators seeking processors optimized for generative AI workloads.
The H200 chips, among Nvidia’s most powerful AI processors to date, are widely used by leading cloud computing and technology companies to run advanced artificial intelligence applications. This has further strengthened Nvidia’s position as a key global supplier of AI infrastructure.
In response to accelerating demand, Nvidia continues to expand its production capacity in collaboration with manufacturing partners, reaffirming its commitment to stable pricing and supply policies despite mounting pressures across the global semiconductor market.
