Amazon Web Services (AWS) has successfully passed a comprehensive security review conducted by the Options Clearing Corporation (OCC), the world’s largest equity derivatives clearinghouse. The milestone strengthens trust in AWS’s cloud infrastructure among globally regulated financial institutions.

The audit, part of a strategic partnership between AWS and OCC, evaluated cybersecurity controls against established industry and regulatory frameworks, including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and Reg SCI compliance. The review confirmed that OCC’s security controls meet all regulatory requirements and that AWS’s cloud solutions adhere to best practices in both cloud computing and financial services.

In related news, BMO Capital raised its target price for Amazon shares to $304, up from $300, maintaining its Outperform rating. Analysts cited strong growth indicators for AWS, with revenue growth for the cloud unit in Q1 2026 now projected at 24%, compared to the previous estimate of 23%.

AWS continues to lead in cloud computing and AI services, offering solutions including generative AI, machine learning, and specialized chips like Tranium and Inferentia to support advanced workloads for enterprises worldwide.
