Myntra Launches Zero-Commission Model for Indian D2C Brands Under Rising Stars Program
Myntra, the leading Indian e-commerce platform, has introduced a zero-commission model for newly joining direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands under its Myntra Rising Stars initiative. The move aims to support emerging brands and accelerate their growth in the local market.
The program targets brands in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle sectors, allowing them to expand on Myntra without bearing traditional commission fees. This reduces operational costs and enhances competitiveness.
Participating brands gain access to over 75 million monthly users in India, along with an integrated logistics network covering 98% of serviceable postal codes. They also benefit from marketing tools such as promotional vouchers and banking offers to boost demand and increase brand discovery.
The launch follows a successful pilot during the 2025 holiday season in the women’s ethnic wear category, where over 200 new brands joined and achieved significant growth within just four months.
While Myntra’s zero-commission model is not entirely new to the Indian e-commerce market, platforms like Meesho and Flipkart have implemented similar strategies to support small and medium sellers, lower operational costs, and encourage competitive pricing in a highly contested market.
