El Sewedy Electric Signs $51 Million Power Supply Contract in Angola
El Sewedy Electric S.A.E. has signed a new contract worth $51 million with Angola’s electricity distribution company, according to a disclosure filed with the Egyptian Exchange.
The company stated that the scope of supply includes power transformers of various capacities, high-quality power cables, as well as related accessories, protection, and operating systems. The project aims to support Angola’s electricity grid infrastructure and enhance the efficiency and stability of power supply across the country.
In a separate financial update, El Sewedy Electric reported consolidated net profits of EGP 14.131 billion during the first nine months of 2025, compared to EGP 14.353 billion in the same period of 2024, reflecting a 1.55% year-on-year decline, after accounting for minority interests.
