NTRA Warns of Potential Disruption to Digital Services on January 3 Due to Scheduled Power Maintenance
The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has announced the possibility of a temporary disruption to some of its digital services on Saturday, January 3, 2026, as a result of scheduled electrical maintenance work at the Smart Village.
In an official statement, the authority said the potential service impact may occur from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., due to routine maintenance being carried out on electrical transformers by South Cairo Electricity Distribution Company. The NTRA noted that the maintenance works could affect the availability of several digital platforms during the specified period.
Services that may be temporarily impacted include the Devices Services Digital Portal, the MyNTRA mobile application, number verification services available through the Digital Egypt platform and mobile wallet applications, mobile number portability services, as well as the Telephony application related to the mobile phone governance system.
The authority confirmed that all affected services are expected to resume normal operations immediately upon the completion of the maintenance work, stressing its commitment to minimizing service disruptions and ensuring continuity for users.
