Telecom Egypt announces new changes in its organizational structure to enhance operational efficiency and improve customer experience

Telecom Egypt, the leading provider of ICT services, announced new changes in its organizational structure, following its approval by the Board of Directors, as part of its continuous quest to enhance strategic and operational efficiency, contributing to improving the customer experience and achieving higher levels of quality and excellence.

These changes include the appointment of new leaders to support the next growth phase, reflecting the company's commitment to innovation and sustainable development, and enhancing its ability to accelerate the pace of decision-making and implementation efficiently and effectively, through a clear definition of the competencies and responsibilities of each job, and ensuring that strategic leadership is consistent with the approved objectives and plans.

The amendments included the restructuring of the Commercial Affairs Prosecution, to become two independent prosecutors: the Personal Commercial Affairs Prosecution, and the Corporate and Institutional Commercial Affairs Prosecution. The Retail Commercial Affairs Prosecution is responsible for providing services to individual customers and the residential sector, while the Commercial Affairs Prosecution for Companies and Institutions focuses on serving customers of companies, institutions and government entities, by providing integrated solutions for telecommunications and digital services, to support the continuous digital transformation path in Egypt.

The changes also included a reorganization of the customer service function to work within each behalf through integrated units, with a clear definition of responsibility for managing the customer experience and following up the performance of services, ensuring a more efficient and responsive experience to the needs of various customer segments.

In this context, the Board of Directors of Telecom Egypt decided to approve the appointment of Mr. Mohamed Al-Touni as Executive Vice President of the Retail Commercial Affairs Prosecution, to lead the commercial strategy and operational operations of the prosecution with a focus on accelerating growth processes, raising operational efficiency, enhancing the value provided to customers and maximizing profitability.

The Board of Directors also decided to approve the transfer of Mr. Rami Kato from his position as Executive Vice President of Customer Service to the position of Executive Vice President of Commercial Affairs for Companies and Institutions. In this position, he will lead the company's business with customers from institutions and government agencies, to promote expansion through strategic partnerships and drive digital transformation initiatives in line with Egypt's Vision 2030 to achieve a digital economy.

Recognizing the pivotal role of technology as a driver of growth and innovation, the Board of Directors decided to approve the appointment of Mr. Eng. Ahmed Al-Fouli as Executive Vice President of Information Systems and Technology. He will be responsible for overseeing the modernization, development and growth of telecommunications Egypt's information and digital infrastructure, promoting innovation, automation and data-driven capabilities across all the company's functions. He will also ensure that the company's information systems are fully compatible with its strategic objectives, enabling more efficiency, flexibility and scalability. This appointment confirms Telecom Egypt's commitment to enhancing its digital structure, supporting innovation, delivering long-term value to customers and maximizing the wealth of its shareholders.
