Khaled Ibrahim Elected Chairman of CIT as New Board Is Formed for 2025–2029 Term

The Chamber of Information Technology and Communications Industry (CIT), operating under the umbrella of the Federation of Egyptian Industries and recognized as the sponsor of Egypt’s digital industry, announced on Monday the formation of its new Board of Directors for the 2025–2029 term.

Engineer Khaled Ibrahim was elected Chairman of the Board, while Engineer Mohamed Haddad and Engineer Saif Badawy were appointed as Vice Chairmen. The Executive Bureau of the chamber also includes Engineer Mohamed Saeed and Engineer Mohamed Eissa. In addition, Engineer Khaled Ibrahim was selected as the chamber’s representative on the Board of Directors of the Federation of Egyptian Industries.

Following the conclusion of the procedural session, Chairman Khaled Ibrahim welcomed the newly formed board, expressing his aspiration that the upcoming term would be marked by tangible achievements and a unified team spirit. He emphasized the importance of working as an integrated team with clearly defined roles to serve the interests of chamber members, support the national economy, and implement the state’s strategic directions at the technological, economic, and societal levels.

Ibrahim underlined the need to leverage all the expertise and capabilities represented within the board, noting that it brings together highly respected figures with extensive experience in the technology sector. He affirmed that CIT continues to move steadily toward further accomplishments, strengthening the role of the technology sector within the Egyptian economy.

He added that the chamber remains committed to fostering a more dynamic business and innovation environment, enhancing the global competitiveness of Egypt’s information and communications technology sector, boosting digital exports, and contributing effectively to the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030 aimed at building a comprehensive Digital Egypt.
