Madinet Misr Wins Two Awards for Mixed-Use Excellence and Heritage Preservation at Investgate ACE 2025
Madinet Misr (EGX: MASR.CA) announced that it has secured two major accolades at the Investgate Awards ACE 2025, recognizing the company’s leadership in mixed-use development and corporate social responsibility.
The company was awarded 2025 Mixed-Use Project of the Year for its flagship development Taj City, in addition to winning the 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative Award for heritage preservation through its “Bayt Al-Khalifa” project in Historic Cairo.
The dual recognition underscores Madinet Misr’s commitment to delivering innovative, integrated urban communities that combine residential, commercial, administrative, and recreational components, while also advancing sustainable community initiatives that enhance quality of life, support local communities, and preserve Egypt’s architectural and cultural identity.
Taj City was honored as a benchmark for modern mixed-use developments, offering a fully integrated urban model. The project comprises 11 residential compounds and two commercial developments designed to serve diverse customer segments. Key components include “Tajed,” the company’s first integrated commercial and administrative destination, and “The Prism,” a retail and entertainment hub featuring a contemporary architectural concept that brings together upscale dining and fashion brands.
The development also includes “Shark Tank Business Park,” billed as the world’s first business park inspired by the internationally renowned television format “Shark Tank,” redefining the entrepreneurial lifestyle by integrating work and leisure within a single destination. In addition, the Kayan project within Taj City combines the first Swiss International School (LSIS), Club Kayan sports club, and Asten College, offering a holistic urban experience that caters to multiple segments of society.
Strategically located with direct access to major roads and vital axes, Taj City is also set to host the future headquarters of Madinet Misr, further reinforcing its position as a fully integrated urban destination that blends business and residential living.
On the corporate social responsibility front, Madinet Misr received the 2025 award for its “Bayt Al-Khalifa” initiative, which focuses on revitalizing urban areas along Al-Rakabiya Street in the heart of Historic Cairo. The project aims to restore the urban fabric, improve living conditions for residents, and preserve heritage within an area designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The initiative represents a core pillar of the company’s “Building Communities” strategy, specifically the “Reviving Heritage” pillar.
Commenting on the achievement, Eng. Abdallah Sallam, CEO and Managing Director of Madinet Misr, said the double win reflects the company’s integrated vision that balances urban innovation with social responsibility. He emphasized that Madinet Misr views urban development as a comprehensive approach rooted in understanding community needs, delivering sustainable solutions, and preserving cultural identity to create long-term positive impact.
Eng. Mohamed Lasheen, Senior Vice President of Projects at Madinet Misr, noted that Taj City’s recognition highlights the company’s focus on combining efficient execution with urban innovation in line with global best practices. Meanwhile, Dina Habib, Vice President of Corporate Relations, said the Bayt Al-Khalifa award reinforces the company’s commitment to heritage preservation, community development, and environmental sustainability.
The latest honors mark the third recognition Madinet Misr has received for sustainability and social responsibility, following previous awards for heritage preservation and sustainable development, further cementing the company’s leadership in integrated urban development and community-driven initiatives
