The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority opens its branch in Hurghada experimentally to enhance the quality of services provided to citizens
Major General Mohammed Al-Ridi, Vice President of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority for Financial and Administrative Affairs, and Dr. Hossam Abdel Mula, Vice President of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority for Technical Affairs and Quality Affairs, opened the new branch of the Authority in Hurghada on an experimental basis, within the framework of the Authority's strategy aimed at expanding geographically and strengthening its presence in the various governorates, thus contributing to improving the level of services provided to citizens and ensuring a quick response to complaints and inquiries of users of telecommunications services.
The opening of the Hurghada branch comes within the Authority's plan to support the Red Sea governorates and tourist areas, and facilitate the access of citizens and visitors to the Authority's various services, which include receiving complaints from users of telecommunications services, following up the quality of services provided by telecommunications companies, in addition to providing technical and guidance support related to the rights of users.
The opening of the branch of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in Hurghada is a new addition to the network of the Authority's branches already deployed in a number of governorates of the Republic, which include Cairo, Giza, Ismailia and Alexandria, in addition to its branches in the Delta and Assiut governorates, reflecting the Authority's keenness to enhance its geographical spread and facilitate the access of its services to all citizens throughout the republic.
On the sidelines of the opening, a number of coordination meetings were held with the executive and security leaders in Hurghada, within the framework of joint coordination and follow-up of the progress of work, and discussing cooperation mechanisms to ensure the regularity of providing services and achieve the highest levels of efficiency, and to support the efforts of the Authority in performing its organizational and supervisory tasks in the governorate.
The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) stressed that the pilot operation of the branch aims to evaluate the efficiency of the services provided and measure the needs of citizens in preparation for full operation, to ensure the provision of distinguished services according to the highest quality standards, and in line with the country's vision of digital transformation and improving the level of government services.
The Authority pointed out that the opening of this branch reflects its continuous commitment to enhancing direct communication with citizens in various governorates, supporting the state's efforts to achieve digital inclusion and ensuring that all users have access to secure and high-quality communication services.
The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NRA) continues to implement its expansion plan to open more branches and service centers in the coming period, which contributes to enhancing the protection of the rights of users of telecommunications services and upgrading the telecommunications system in Egypt.
