Telecom Egypt (We) sponsors the Egyptian Women”s Summit initiative to support women and youth in the fields of technology, science and innovation
Telecom Egypt (We) announced its sponsorship of the Egyptian Women's Summit 2025 initiative, which this year aims to support women and youth in future fields of work related to science, technology, engineering, mathematics, artificial intelligence, innovation and entrepreneurship. The initiative seeks to link the outputs of education to the labor market, provide young people with training and employment opportunities and build a network of relationships with executive leaders and international experts.
The summit witnessed the distinguished participation of Telecom Egypt cadres, who presented workshops on the topics of building innovative talents in the era of artificial intelligence, safe internet, and artificial intelligence for good, with the aim of transferring professional expertise to future generations.
This sponsorship comes within the framework of the Egyptian Social Responsibility Strategy for Telecommunications, and the company is directed towards supporting youth and women empowerment initiatives, promoting innovation in the fields of technology, supporting entrepreneurship, developing the knowledge economy, and consolidating Egypt's position as a regional center for technological excellence. This initiative focuses on building a national system for innovation and operation, developing future skills in cooperation between the government and the private sector, enhancing women's participation in the fields of science and technology, and supporting young entrepreneurs, through training about 6,000 students from 30 Egyptian universities.
It is noteworthy that Telecom Egypt has presented many integrated initiatives aimed at building capacities, supporting education and promoting innovation. Like the "She Leads" initiative, which provided specialized training to more than 825 students in ten governorates and helped them to turn their ideas into innovative projects with economic and social impact. The company also contributed to the preparation of distinguished young cadres by providing full scholarships in the fields of engineering and computer science to students of universities such as Zewail University and Misr Informatics University, with the aim of qualifying a generation capable of leading the communications sector and digital transformation.
