Million-Riyal Competitions Highlight Day Two of Black Hat MEA 2025 in Riyadh
The fourth edition of Black Hat Middle East and Africa 2025 continued today in the Saudi capital, organized by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, in partnership with Tahaluf. The event once again drew a large international audience, reaffirming the Kingdom’s position as a global hub for the cybersecurity industry.
Day Two featured an intensive program of advanced technical sessions and workshops, focusing on the latest defensive strategies, the expanding role of artificial intelligence in digital protection, and evolving trends in financial and enterprise security. Experts also discussed emerging patterns in global cyberattacks and the growing complexity of digital threats.
International specialists led a series of Deep Dive sessions, presenting newly uncovered vulnerabilities and showcasing practical, real-world solutions derived from operational experience. Meanwhile, the Black Hat Campus platform continued to attract young cybersecurity talent with interactive sessions and live demonstrations highlighting the skills and creativity of the next generation.
Technical competitions remained a major highlight, offering prize pools of up to one million Saudi riyals across multiple challenge tracks. The Arsenal Labs area featured demonstrations of the latest security tools, while the Terminal Zone provided immersive simulation environments for testing participants’ analytical abilities and ethical hacking techniques.
The strong turnout throughout the second day underscored Saudi Arabia’s progress in building an advanced cybersecurity ecosystem and its rising capability to host world-class industry events. Sessions emphasized the latest global trends and the importance of developing national talent able to navigate increasingly sophisticated cyber challenges.
The event concludes tomorrow with sessions examining advanced attack methods, the applications of artificial intelligence in incident response, and the emerging technologies shaping the future of global cybersecurity.
