Turkish Airlines Partners with Samsung to Launch Smart Tagged Baggage Service
Turkish Airlines, the global carrier that flies to more countries than any other airline worldwide, has announced a strategic partnership with Samsung to launch an advanced Smart Tagged Baggage Service, marking a major milestone in its digital transformation efforts to enhance the passenger experience.
Starting December 1st, passengers will be able to track their checked luggage seamlessly through SmartThings Find. The service provides faster and more efficient identification of delayed or misplaced bags equipped with Galaxy SmartTag, offering travelers unprecedented visibility and peace of mind throughout their journey.
With this launch, Turkish Airlines becomes the first airline globally to adopt SmartThings technology for baggage tracking, reaffirming its commitment to a passenger-first digital innovation strategy. Travelers can also upload photos of their luggage within the SmartThings Find app to simplify identification and retrieval. The airline plans to expand the use of SmartThings’ location-based capabilities into additional passenger-focused digital services in the future.
