Silicon Waha for Technology Parks has launched the fourth edition of its flagship innovation forum, “Waha Connect: Shaping the ICT Horizon”, at Sadat Technology City, bringing together more than 250 students from Delta Technological University, Sadat University, and Al Riada University. The event also welcomed nearly 60 prominent figures from government institutions, major technology companies, investment firms, and the wider entrepreneurship and digital transformation ecosystem.

This year’s edition reinforces Silicon Waha’s commitment to empowering young talent, advancing technology as a driver of economic growth, and strengthening the role of technology parks as integrated innovation hubs spanning the Delta to Upper Egypt. Waha Connect serves as a direct link between aspiring innovators and key market stakeholders, offering university students a dynamic platform to present promising tech projects and turn their ideas into tangible career and business opportunities.

Strengthening Innovation Across Egypt’s Technology Parks

During the opening session, Eng. Hashim Mansi, CEO of Silicon Waha, highlighted that the fourth edition of Waha Connect marks another milestone in the company’s nationwide efforts to support innovation.

Eng. Islam El-Fishawy, Chairman of Sadat City Board of Trustees and Member of the Senate, who spoke on the pivotal role of technology hubs in positioning governorates as emerging centers for talent.

Eng. Karim Ghoneim, CEO of KMG, who delivered a keynote titled «Building & Scaling Industrial Excellence: KMG’s Journey in a Changing World», demonstrating how engineering, technology, and effective leadership are shaping the future of manufacturing and industrial development.

Prof. Ayman Eid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Commerce for Graduate Studies and Research, who presented «Entrepreneurship as a Pillar of Economic Transformation in Higher Education», highlighting how academic institutions can drive innovative, sustainable startups.

Eng. Ahmed Mansour, who shared an inspiring success story in his session «Microsystems AI: From 7,000 EGP to Global Tech – The Rise of a Vision», showcasing the global rise of a tech company that began with a modest idea and minimal resources.

The event also hosted Mr. Ahmed Abdelaziz, Site Director at Teleperformance, one of the world’s leading companies in digital business services and customer experience management.
