Arab League Honors Engineer Haitham Hussein for Humanitarian and Reconstruction Efforts
The Arab League headquarters in Cairo hosted a distinguished ceremony recognizing Engineer Haitham Hussein, Chairman of the OMC Economic System, for his outstanding contributions to supporting displaced Sudanese communities and advancing regional development and reconstruction efforts.
The honor was presented in the presence of Arab League Secretary-General Ambassador Ahmed Aboul Gheit; Dr. Essam Sharaf, former Egyptian Prime Minister and President of the “Isnad” Initiative; and Lieutenant General Imad Al-Din Mostafa, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan. The event reflected a collective appreciation for sincere, impactful work dedicated to humanitarian service.
Following the recognition, Hussein delivered a heartfelt address, stating:
«This is a proud moment in our journey. We dedicate this honor to the great people of Egypt, our brothers and sisters in Sudan, and to everyone who believed in the mission of Egypt’s workers to build people before buildings. True success lies not in what we gain but in what we give with integrity and goodwill. Serving our homelands is a noble duty, and those who work for the sake of humanity are honored in this life before the next.»
Hussein emphasized that the award crowns four years of continuous efforts to support Sudanese families displaced by conflict and to contribute to reconstruction initiatives. He highlighted his role as a member of the High Committee of the Sudanese “Isnad” Initiative, dedicated to assisting displaced individuals and advancing future development plans.
Expressing deep appreciation for the recognition, the OMC Chairman underscored that the honor reflects the importance of the social and developmental role undertaken by the initiative. He reaffirmed a continued commitment to joint action and solidarity between the Egyptian and Sudanese peoples to foster stability and build a better future for both nations.
