eFinance, the fintech leader under eFinance Investment Group, has announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Salesforce, the world’s leading AI CRM, to jointly build Egypt’s first Agentic AI-powered API and interoperability platform.

As part of the collaboration, eFinance and Salesforce will develop a centralized national API gateway designed to interlink financial systems, tax platforms, citizen services, and public-sector data infrastructures. The platform will be powered by MuleSoft—Salesforce’s leading integration, automation, and API management technology—providing a unified and secure connectivity layer across government entities. By adopting the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, eFinance will accelerate service deployment, enhance composability, and scale new digital services more efficiently across multiple ministries. MuleSoft Agent Fabric will also serve as the foundation for governing and orchestrating AI agents across future agentic AI use cases, enabling Egypt to build smarter, automated, and citizen-centric public services over time.

The MoU was signed during Cairo ICT 2025 under the patronage of Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and attended by:

Ibrahim Sarhan, Chairman and CEO, eFinance Investment Group

Hossam El-Goly, CEO, eFinance

Mohammed Alkhotani, SVP & GM – Middle East, Salesforce

Mohamed Hegazy, Account Lead – Egypt, Salesforce

“This strategic collaboration represents a major step forward in Egypt’s digital transformation roadmap. By combining eFinance’s national infrastructure with Salesforce’s trusted AI capabilities and expertise, we are strengthening the foundations for a fully integrated digital government by 2030,” said Ibrahim Sarhan, Chairman and CEO of eFinance Investment Group. “The unified API gateway will enable secure data exchange, automated service delivery, improved operational efficiency, and a seamless, intelligent experience for citizens, fully aligned with Egypt’s vision for a smart and digitally unified state.”

Egypt’s digital transformation agenda now focuses on intelligent public services, secure and efficient data exchange, and building the foundations for agentic cities—where data, AI, and integrated systems work together to make everyday services faster, more accessible, and more personalized. This partnership directly supports that vision by establishing the infrastructure needed for a more connected and responsive digital government.

“We are proud to partner with eFinance to help accelerate Egypt’s national digital agenda,” said Mohammed Alkhotani, SVP & GM Middle East, Salesforce. “Our priority is to bring trusted AI, strong governance, and advanced agentic capabilities into the heart of government operations, empowering both public- and private-sector teams with the insights, automation, and intelligence required to better serve citizens. We remain committed to supporting Egypt in delivering secure, seamless, and intelligent public services.”

Since 2005, eFinance has been central to Egypt’s digital payments ecosystem, operating the government’s financial network and managing critical national transactions. Leveraging this infrastructure, the partnership with Salesforce brings together national-scale capabilities and global leadership in AI and CRM to advance Egypt’s journey toward next-generation digital government.

The collaboration also aligns with Salesforce’s broader Middle East expansion, where the company is partnering with governments and enterprises to modernize services, elevate customer experience, and build AI-powered, interoperable communities. With Egypt as a key focus, Salesforce reaffirms its commitment to enabling advanced digital public services for citizens, businesses, and government institutions.
