J.P. Nadda Represents India at Global Health Conference in Cairo
Shri J.P. Nadda, India’s Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare and Union Minister of Chemicals & Fertilizers, concluded a significant three-day visit to Egypt, where he represented India at the Global Conference on Health, Population & Human Development held in Cairo.

During the visit, Shri Nadda held a high-level meeting with Egypt’s Prime Minister, His Excellency Dr. Mostafa Madbouly. The two sides discussed avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation, with a particular focus on healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and broader human development initiatives. Both leaders reaffirmed the importance of building on the longstanding relationship between the two countries to support shared development goals.
As part of his diaspora outreach, Shri Nadda attended a community event organized by the Embassy of India in Egypt. He was welcomed by His Excellency Mr. Suresh K. Reddy, India’s Ambassador to Egypt, along with Mr. Ashish Walia, Chairman of the Indian Community Association in Egypt (ICAE), and Mr. Amar Das, ICAE Board Member. The gathering took place at India House in Cairo.

The event began with an opening address by Mrs. Sadhna Parmar, President of ICAE, who highlighted the association’s role in supporting the Indian community and underscored the significance of the Minister’s visit.
In his remarks to the diaspora, Shri Nadda expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of his engagements in Egypt and commended the Embassy of India and Ambassador Reddy for their efforts in facilitating the visit. He pointed to the strong potential for expanded cooperation between India and Egypt, particularly in areas aligned with his ministerial responsibilities, including public health, pharmaceutical development, and human capital advancement.
Shri Nadda’s visit underscored India’s commitment to deepening strategic partnerships with Egypt and enhancing collaboration through shared priorities in health and development.
