Changelabs Launches Corporate Accelerator with Five Leading Egyptian Insurers

Changelabs has announced the launch of a new corporate accelerator program designed to drive product development and enhance risk management capabilities across Egypt’s insurance sector. The initiative forms part of Changelabs’ expanded corporate services offering and builds on the company’s successful track record with global clients.

Misr Insurance, Orient Insurance, Sarwa Insurance, Amanleek, and Kaf Insurance have all signed on to participate in the program, which aims to accelerate the design and scale-up of SME-focused insurance products, strengthen distribution models, and improve workplace safety and risk management practices. The initiative is expected to support operational efficiency and boost long-term profitability for participating insurers.

To ensure world-class delivery, Changelabs has partnered with international insurance specialists RMC and Finprobity. Both companies are providing technical expertise, coaching management teams, and supporting product development and Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) approval processes. Early results from the program show strong momentum: several participating insurers have already launched new SME-targeted insurance products, while others have significantly upgraded their risk management frameworks, leading to cost savings and improved performance.

Karim Samra, Managing Director of Changelabs, said: «With this accelerator, once again, we set out to prove that even the most established industries can innovate and grow through collaboration with startups and SMEs, agility, and purpose-driven design. By partnering with Egypt’s top insurers, we’re not only accelerating product innovation but also helping reshape how the sector serves SMEs — a critical engine of the Egyptian economy.»

Since the program’s launch, four new and amended SME-focused insurance products have entered the market. The initiative has also contributed to improving working conditions for 3,000 SME employees. Through InsurGrow, a total of 435 industry professionals have been trained, including 75 property risk engineers, 60 property underwriters, and 300 employees and management staff, significantly strengthening technical and operational capabilities across the sector.

Ahmed Khalifa, CEO of Sarwa Insurance, added: «Our partnership with Changelabs through InsurGrow was truly collaborative, blending their innovation ecosystem with our insurance expertise. Together, we accelerated product development and created meaningful improvements in how we serve SMEs, introducing new insurance offerings and strengthening our risk management approach.»

InsurGrow represents a key milestone in Changelabs’ corporate business strategy and highlights the company’s commitment to transforming traditional industries through innovation, partnership, and measurable impact. Supported by the Insurance Federation of Egypt and GIZ, the accelerator brings together the country’s leading insurers to co-create, adapt, and scale solutions in today’s fast-evolving market.

This achievement marks the beginning of Changelabs’ broader vision to help large enterprises access innovation, unlock new market opportunities, and build more resilient business ecosystems across Egypt and the wider region.
