Egypt’s Ministry of Industry Expands “Investor Support” Mobile App to iOS and Integrates It with Government Agencies

Egypt’s Ministry of Industry announced that its Investor Support mobile application, previously launched on Android to streamline communication with industrial investors and receive their requests and complaints, is now available for iOS users via the App Store, ensuring broader accessibility for all investors.

Comprehensive Digital Integration with Government Entities

The app has been electronically linked to ministries and agencies that are members of the Ministerial Group for Industrial Development, including the Ministries of Environment, Military Production, Electricity and Renewable Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Housing, Public Enterprises, Finance, Investment, Planning, Supply, Agriculture, and Labour, in addition to the Central Bank of Egypt and the National Food Safety Authority.

This integration aims to enable real-time tracking and resolution of investor complaints and requests related to industrial activities across all relevant authorities.

Investor Support Unit Achievements

The initiative follows directives from Lieutenant General Kamel El Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, to unify the complaints and requests system under a single digital window. Since the establishment of the Investor Service and Support Unit, the ministry has received 2,382 complaints and requests, of which 604 have been fully resolved, while 992 investors were guided on how to address their challenges effectively.

How the App Works

Through the app, investors can submit complaints or inquiries directly to the ministry’s Investor Support Unit. Notifications are sent to confirm receipt and to update the investor when a response is issued by the concerned authority. In cases of delayed replies, investors can also send follow-up reminders via the app.

Steps to Create an Account:

1. Enter personal details (name, phone number, email, business activity, and governorate).

2. Choose the required service (Complaint or Inquiry).

To Submit a Complaint or Inquiry:

1. Tap “Start” to access the app.

2. Register personal data (if first-time user).

3. Select “Complaint” or “Inquiry”.

4. Provide the subject and details, and attach up to five image files if needed.

5. Tap “Submit” to send.

Users can view and manage their cases anytime via the “Profile” and “Follow-up” sections.

The Ministry emphasized that the Investor Support Unit was created to address investor challenges swiftly and efficiently, coordinating with all relevant agencies to remove obstacles and enhance the investment environment across Egypt’s industrial sector.
