Americana Restaurants Egypt Launches “Education for All = Food for All” to Unify and Expand Its Education and Youth Empowerment Programs

Americana Restaurants Egypt has announced the launch of “Education for All = Food for All,” a new initiative that consolidates all of the company’s education and youth empowerment efforts under a unified framework. The initiative underscores Americana’s unwavering commitment to fostering education at all levels—from literacy to university programs—reflecting its belief that sustainable development begins with investing in people.
Under this umbrella, Americana continues to scale its Dual Education Program, implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Misr El Kheir Foundation. To date, more than 7,500 students have graduated from nine partner schools nationwide, including Ahmed Hamed Taleb School for Applied Technology, El Zeitoun Commercial School, Abdeen Commercial School, Talaat Harb Schools, Port Said Advanced Secondary School, Salah Salem School, and Tanta Hotel School.
At the university level, the initiative collaborates with the Faculties of Tourism and Hotels at Helwan, Alexandria, and Fayoum Universities, supporting over 1,500 students in completing their bachelor’s degrees. The program provides direct employment pathways, ensuring that academic education aligns with market needs and future career opportunities.
During the launch event, Americana Restaurants Egypt celebrated Mohamed Emad, Haneen Mahmoud, and Alaa Mohamed, three employees who ranked first nationwide in their respective educational fields. Their achievements were recognized as inspiring examples of academic excellence and dedication—embodying Americana’s belief in the power of education to transform lives and communities.
Further extending its community impact, Americana—through its KFC brand—is implementing the “3al Asl Tawar” program for literacy and skills development in Ezbet Khairallah, in collaboration with local NGOs. The three-year program targets 600 beneficiaries and has already empowered 500 graduates within its first two years, significantly improving literacy rates and essential life skills.
Hesham Talaat, Country General Manager for Americana Restaurants in Egypt and Iraq, and General Manager for Hardee’s in the Middle East, commented:
> “Our investment in people is as important as expanding our business portfolio. Education is the foundation of opportunity and economic empowerment, and our programs are designed to generate sustainable impact—from schools to universities—creating a model that directly connects education with employment.”
He added:
> “We are proud to be a leading company that drives positive societal impact through education and vocational training. By partnering with public institutions and local organizations, our initiatives are helping young Egyptians and people of determination realize their full potential, aligning with Egypt’s vision for inclusive and sustainable development.”
As part of its inclusive growth strategy, Americana Restaurants Egypt also empowers people of determination across its operations. The company currently operates seven branches fully managed by employees with hearing impairments and plans to expand to nine branches by the end of 2025. These branches reflect Americana’s holistic approach to equality, empowerment, and workplace inclusivity.
Through “Education for All = Food for All,” Americana Restaurants Egypt continues to bridge the gap between education, employability, and social development—creating opportunities that nourish both minds and communities
