ICT Minister Inaugurates Foundever’s First Customer Experience Center in Upper Egypt

Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Amr Talaat, together with Luxor Governor Abdel-Muttalib Amara, officially inaugurated Foundever’s new global customer experience (CX) and outsourcing center in Luxor.

The event gathered senior officials and executives, including Foundever CEO and Co-founder Laurent Uberti, Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) CEO Ahmed Elzaher, Foundever COO for EMEA Benedita Miranda, ITIDA Vice President for ICT Markets Development Mahmoud Sofrata, and Foundever Egypt Country Director Mina Wahba.

This marks Foundever’s first office in Upper Egypt and its third nationwide, underscoring the company’s commitment to strengthening its footprint in Egypt and supporting the country’s strategy to expand its outsourcing industry, develop digital skills, and generate new job opportunities for youth.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Talaat highlighted Egypt’s growing offshoring sector, calling it a promising industry that offers young Egyptians rewarding career prospects. He stressed the government’s nationwide training initiatives designed to prepare graduates for high-value digital jobs, adding that the Luxor facility integrates Upper Egypt’s workforce into the digital economy while empowering youth to contribute to their local communities.

Luxor Governor Amara welcomed the investment, describing the center as a new economic driver alongside tourism and industry in the governorate. He praised the strong performance of local youth, including graduates from multiple disciplines, who have chosen careers in ICT.

Foundever CEO Uberti said that Egypt has become one of the company’s fastest-growing markets, with Luxor positioned to play a central role in its global customer experience strategy. “This new center reflects our confidence in Luxor’s talented youth—their skills, capabilities, and innovative spirit,” he noted.

ITIDA CEO Elzaher emphasized that expanding delivery centers beyond Cairo is a core element of the agency’s growth strategy. He explained that regional centers provide advantages for investors, including stronger employee retention and operational efficiency, while creating high-quality jobs that support sustainable development.

Currently, Foundever employs over 2,000 specialists across its Cairo operations, which achieved 115% growth last year, and serves 15 international clients in more than 14 languages. With the new Luxor site, which already employs around 240 specialists and plans to grow to 400 by 2026, the company aims to reach 5,000 employees in Egypt within three years.

The Luxor center also integrates advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, custom language models, and intelligent automation into CX operations—enhancing productivity, team efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Commenting on the expansion, COO Benedita Miranda said: “The Luxor office is a strategic step forward, reaffirming Foundever’s commitment to Egypt’s market and to investing in its highly skilled workforce. Continuous support from MCIT and ITIDA ensures Egypt remains an ideal partner for our long-term growth.”

Egypt Country Director Mina Wahba described the Luxor launch as a milestone in Foundever’s journey. “By opening Upper Egypt’s first CX center, we are creating high-quality jobs closer to young people’s hometowns while reinforcing Egypt’s position as a regional hub for customer experience services,” he said.
