NTRA and Martyrs’ Honor Fund Sign Cooperation Protocol to Support Families of Fallen Heroes

In line with the state’s commitment to honoring and supporting the families of those who sacrificed their lives for Egypt’s security and stability, the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) and the Fund for Honoring Martyrs, Victims, Missing Persons, and Injured of War, Terrorist, and Security Operations signed a cooperation protocol today in Cairo, coinciding with Egypt’s celebrations of the October War anniversary.

The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration between both parties through expertise sharing and joint coordination, ensuring beneficiaries of the Fund receive accessible and advanced telecommunications services.

Eng. Mohamed Shemroukh, Chief Executive Officer of NTRA, described the protocol as a pivotal step towards institutional integration in supporting the families of Egypt’s fallen heroes. He stressed NTRA’s commitment to providing comprehensive technological and digital support, noting that the Authority has directed mobile operators to grant a 50% discount on telecom services for the Fund’s beneficiaries. This initiative, he explained, seeks to enable families of martyrs and victims to access high-quality telecom services at affordable costs, thereby enhancing their digital inclusion and improving their quality of life.

For his part, Major General El-Sayed El-Ghaly, Chairman of the Fund, expressed his appreciation for this fruitful collaboration, emphasizing that the protocol reflects the directives of Egypt’s leadership to honor the sacrifices of martyrs, missing persons, and injured heroes, along with their families. He highlighted that partnering with NTRA, a cornerstone of Egypt’s digital transformation, is both a symbolic and practical recognition of their sacrifices.

The protocol also includes the launch of joint awareness campaigns and workshops between NTRA and the Fund, in alignment with the state’s efforts to strengthen institutional partnerships and advance sustainable development under Egypt’s Vision 2030.

This cooperation marks a continuation of Egypt’s nationwide efforts to uphold the values of sacrifice and loyalty, reaffirming the state’s pledge to never forget those who gave their lives or were injured in defense of the nation.
