Huawei Celebrates African Intelligence Pioneers at “Huawei Africa 2025” under the Theme “Inclusive Intelligence for Africa”

On the sidelines of HUAWEI CONNECT 2025, Huawei hosted the “Huawei Africa 2025” event under the theme “Inclusive Intelligence for Africa.” The gathering brought together more than 500 participants, including government officials, partners, industry leaders, and experts, to showcase the latest ICT innovations, exchange knowledge, and explore collaboration opportunities aimed at accelerating Africa’s smart transformation.

Speaking at the event, Shen Li, President of Huawei Northern, Western, and Central Africa, emphasized that the continent is undergoing a pivotal transformation from the information era to the age of digitalization and inclusive intelligence. He noted that Africa is experiencing leapfrog developments across multiple sectors: from no network coverage to 4G, 5G, and fiber connectivity; from paper-based governance to fully digital government platforms; from reliance on cash to widespread mobile payments; and from energy shortages to sustainable solar solutions.

Reaffirming Huawei’s commitment to its principle “In Africa, For Africa,” Shen underscored the company’s role as a trusted, long-term partner supporting the continent’s digital and intelligent evolution. To realize its vision of “Inclusive Intelligence for Africa,” Huawei has introduced a strategic framework built on three pillars: New Value, New Infrastructure, and New Ecosystem.

New Value: Five comprehensive solutions across key scenarios, including connectivity, education, government services, security, and energy.

New Infrastructure: Integration of cloud, AI, networks, and devices to deliver end-to-end solutions.

New Ecosystem: An open and collaborative community of customers, partners, and talent to accelerate Africa’s digital and intelligent transformation.

The Huawei North Africa team presented how this three-pronged approach is driving progress across the continent, sharing key insights on trends and best practices shaping Africa’s digital journey.

During the event, Huawei also launched the “African Intelligence Pioneers” program, recognizing leading organizations that are actively investing in smart technologies and delivering tangible results. Fourteen organizations from nine critical sectors—including public administration, telecommunications, education, healthcare, oil and gas, mining, transportation, energy, and finance—were honored.

By adopting advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing, these organizations are reshaping business models and creating innovative solutions tailored to Africa’s unique needs, paving the way for a smarter and more digitally connected continent.
