One of the biggest technology companies based in Central Texas is getting a bit of a facelift. With an increased effort on return to office policies, company heads are allocating nearly $2 million toward campus renovations.

Since 1994, Dell Technologies has called the city of Round Rock home, relocating to the Austin suburb a decade after Michael Dell first formed the business in his University of Texas dorm room in 1984. In the decades since, Dell has transformed into a global economic powerhouse and a substantial job generator within the greater Austin area.

Now, the business is gearing up for some internal renovations at its Round Rock campus, with documents registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on Monday, August 4, outlining a showcase expansion in development. According to project documents, Dell Technologies is planning an internal renovation and "removing conference rooms to create a larger innovation center showroom," with the expansion covering nearly 7,000 square feet of space on campus.
