Egypt’s food exports reach record $3.37 B in First Half of 2025

Egypt’s food industries sector achieved its highest-ever half-year export value during the first half of 2025, with total exports reaching approximately $3.365 billion, according to a statement released by Food Export Council.
This represents a 6% increase compared to the $3.174 billion recorded during the same period in 2024, amounting to a growth of $182 million.
Arab countries remained the largest destination for Egyptian food exports, importing goods worth $1.577 billion, which represents 47% of the total export value, despite a slight 4% decline.
The European Union came second, importing $715 million worth of products, accounting for 21% of total exports and registering a 2% increase.
Non-Arab African countries followed with $249 million, marking a 9% growth and representing 7% of total exports. Meanwhile, exports to the United States jumped significantly by 47%, reaching $230 million, also making up 7% of the total.
Other international markets received $585 million in Egyptian food products, showing a robust 29% increase and comprising 18% of total exports.
In terms of individual countries, Saudi Arabia was the top importer of Egyptian food products in H1 2025, with imports valued at $258 million, reflecting a 7% increase.
