Vodafone Egypt Partners with Ministry of Youth and NTRA in “Telecom Ambassadors” Initiative to Raise Digital Awareness Among Youth
As part of its commitment to youth empowerment and digital inclusion, Vodafone Egypt has joined forces with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) in the launch of the “Telecom Ambassadors” initiative. The program aims to raise digital awareness among Egyptian youth, focusing on cybersecurity, compliance, and responsible digital engagement.
The initiative is launched in cooperation with the Egyptian Computer Emergency Readiness Team (EGYCERT) and the Egyptian Federation of Youth Entities. It aligns with national efforts to foster a safe and inclusive digital transformation in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports; Counselor Mahmoud Fawzy, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs; and Mr. Wissam Sabry, Assistant Minister for Youth Entities, alongside senior officials from partner organizations and experts in technology and communications.
The “Telecom Ambassadors” initiative delivers a series of training sessions and interactive lectures designed to equip young people with essential knowledge in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital compliance, and protection against online threats. The program also aims to develop a new generation of digitally aware leaders who can contribute meaningfully to Egypt’s ongoing digital transformation.
Vodafone’s participation builds on its previous agreement with the NTRA to promote cybersecurity awareness and digital responsibility, particularly as digital challenges become more complex and widespread.
The initiative will be rolled out across several governorates in the coming months, with the goal of reaching thousands of young people nationwide. The program supports Egypt’s broader strategy to invest in human capital and enhance digital capabilities at the grassroots level.
