Faisal Islamic Bank Surpasses 427,000 Issued Meeza and Visa Cards by June 2025

Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt has reported a significant milestone in its digital payments strategy, announcing that the total number of Meeza and Visa cards issued by the bank reached approximately 427,000 cards by the end of June 2025. This marks a year-on-year growth of over 9%, underscoring the bank’s commitment to expanding digital financial services and promoting financial inclusion.
The rise in card issuance coincides with strong financial performance across the board. The bank’s business volume climbed to over EGP 250 billion in the first half of 2025, up from EGP 219.5 billion in the same period last year—reflecting an increase of EGP 31 billion.
Faisal Islamic Bank also recorded a sharp rise in total assets, which surged to EGP 248.5 billion, compared to EGP 215.8 billion in June 2024—an increase of nearly EGP 32.7 billion. Additionally, shareholders’ equity grew by more than 16%, reaching EGP 38.3 billion by the end of June 2025.
These robust figures highlight the bank’s success in balancing its digital transformation efforts with sustained financial strength. The steady growth in digital card issuance, coupled with its expanding asset base, reinforces Faisal Islamic Bank’s position as a leading player in Egypt’s banking sector and a key contributor to the country’s financial digitization agenda.
