Orange Appoints Yasser Shaker as CEO for Africa and the Middle East
Orange Group has announced the appointment of Yasser Shaker, the current CEO of Orange Egypt, as Chief Executive Officer for Orange Middle East and Africa, effective July 1, 2025. He will also join the Group’s Executive Committee.
Shaker succeeds Jérôme Henique and takes on leadership of one of the most dynamic regions within Orange Group, comprising 18 countries and serving as a key engine of the company’s global growth.
During his tenure at Orange Egypt, Shaker led the company through a period of significant transformation, restoring its growth trajectory and profitability while strengthening its market position. His strategic vision and leadership were widely credited with repositioning the company in a highly competitive telecommunications landscape.
Orange described the appointment as a major strategic step that underscores the Group’s confidence in Shaker’s 28-year track record in the telecom industry.
