As part of efforts to enhance the digital capabilities of youth, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology announced a strategic partnership with Google to launch the "One Million Egyptian Students Innovating with Gemini" initiative.

A Strategic Partnership to Empower Digital Youth

The initiative aims to empower university students in Egypt over the age of 18 to consciously and responsibly leverage artificial intelligence technologies, support their academic journey through 2027, spread an AI culture, and develop digital skills to prepare a generation capable of meeting the demands of the digital economy and future technologies.

Free Offer Details and Registration Conditions

The initiative provides a completely free, one-year subscription to the Google AI Plus plan (valued at approximately 3,000 EGP) for eligible students. Students wishing to benefit from the offer can register until December 31 of this year 

Advanced Features to Support Academic Research and Study

The plan grants students a rich package of features through the Google Gemini app and the Gemini Notebook tool. These features include the Gemini app powered by advanced models to understand complex questions, custom intelligence features, the Omni model for generating 10-second videos, and the Nano Banana model for generating images in various formats and sizes. Additionally, the Gemini Notebook tool (formerly known as NotebookLM) provides capabilities to help students prepare research, listen to interactive audio summaries, and summarize books up to 200 pages long, alongside 400 GB of cloud storage for summaries and educational curricula.

Discounted Plans and Additional Exclusive Offers

Committed to supporting students' scientific journey in Egypt, Google offers additional plans including a 75% discount on the Google AI Pro plan—which includes access to Google’s custom models for developers and designers interested in programming—and a 70% discount on a special package combining Google AI Pro and YouTube Premium for ad-free viewing. This expansion builds on the huge success of last year's offer in Egypt, expanding this year to include several Arab countries such as Algeria, Morocco, Iraq, and Jordan, among others.
