Egyptian-Estonian Business Mission Concludes with Landmark ICT Cooperation MoU
The Egyptian-Estonian business mission, organized by the Egyptian Council for International Cooperation (ECIC) and chaired by Eng. Motaz Raslan, ECIC Chairman and Honorary Consul of Estonia in Egypt, successfully concluded with a significant milestone: the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Egypt's Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications (CIT) and the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications (ITL).
The MoU was signed by Eng. Khaled Ibrahim, Chairman of the CIT in Egypt, and Ms. Doris Põld, CEO of the ITL in Estonia. This agreement establishes a robust framework for cooperation, knowledge exchange, and networking within the business community, unlocking new horizons in the information and communications technology (ICT) sectors of both nations.
The signing ceremony took place at the Chamber of Commerce, attended by several prominent figures from the Egyptian delegation. Attendees included Dr. Sherif El-Gabaly, Member of the Egyptian House of Representatives; Dr. Effat El-Sadat, Member of the Egyptian Senate; former Senators Dr. Hany Nimatallah and Eng. Abdel Salam El-Gabaly; and Eng. Sherif El-Sayyad, Chairman of the Engineering Export Council of Egypt (EEC).
The mission also brought together a select group of Egyptian business leaders, alongside Egyptian-Canadian business executives who joined the delegation from Canada, contributing to the expansion of international networking, dialogue, and cross-border collaboration between the business communities.

Under the leadership of Eng. Motaz Raslan, the mission successfully translated dialogue between the business communities into tangible opportunities, strengthening institutional ties and opening new channels for collaboration between the business and technology ecosystems in Egypt and Estonia.
