Gold prices in the local market increased during midday trading, with the price of 21-karat gold—the most widely traded in Egypt—rising to EGP 5,900 per gram for buying and EGP 5,880 for selling.
The latest gold prices are as follows:
24K gold: EGP 6,742 for buying, EGP 6,720 for selling.
21K gold: EGP 5,900 for buying, EGP 5,880 for selling.
18K gold: EGP 5,057 for buying, EGP 5,040 for selling.
14K gold: EGP 3,933 for buying, EGP 3,920 for selling.
Gold sovereign: EGP 47,200 for buying, EGP 47,040 for selling.
Local gold ounce: EGP 209,702 for buying, EGP 208,992 for selling.
According to the displayed data, the global gold ounce stood at 5,850 for buying and 5,800 for selling, while silver was priced at 95 for buying and 93 for selling.
