DMCC Announces Strategic MoU Between Dubai Diamond Exchange and London Diamond Bourse

The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC)—the leading international business district and a prominent contributor to driving global trade flows through Dubai—has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) and the London Diamond Bourse (LDB). This agreement is designed to enhance bilateral cooperation, unlock new opportunities for members of both exchanges, and support global coordination within the diamond and gemstone trade.

Framework for Closer Collaboration

The MoU establishes a robust framework for tighter cooperation between both parties, focusing on promoting responsible trade, facilitating commercial opportunities, stimulating knowledge exchange, and strengthening ties among their members.

Furthermore, this partnership opens a dedicated channel for dialogue regarding pressing issues that impact the global diamond industry, equipping both exchanges to better navigate a highly interconnected and rapidly evolving international market.

Global Interconnectivity and Leadership

This agreement holds particular significance at a time when the global diamond sector is prioritizing collaborative efforts among major trading hubs. It reflects a shared commitment to forging closer ties among members of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and building a more resilient, interconnected global trade network between specialized centers.

The historic agreement was officially signed by Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman of the Dubai Diamond Exchange, and Charlotte Rose, President of the London Diamond Bourse, marking her first official international partnership since assuming her new leadership role in June.
