Green Cola Egypt has topped the growth rates among startups in the beverage sector during 2026, driven by a growing local appetite for healthier alternatives to traditional carbonated drinks.
Eng. Hany Abdel Fattah, CEO of Green Cola Egypt—the exclusive agent for producing, bottling, distributing, and exporting the Greek brand within the Egyptian market—revealed that the company achieved a 20% increase in sales during the first six months of 2026 compared to the same period last year.
Export Dominance and Aviation Partnerships
The CEO highlighted that Green Cola Egypt exports its locally manufactured products to several Gulf countries and Libya, the latter being its most prominent importer. This local production strategy grants the Egyptian product a competitive edge and added value over other markets that rely on direct imports from Greece.
Furthermore, Green Cola has been adopted as the official soft drink for business-class passengers on Egyptian airline flights this year. The company is actively working to formalize broader agreements with airlines to expand the distribution of its healthy beverages across the aviation sector.
Health-Conscious Formula and Strategic Expansion
Green Cola products are globally favored by world leaders and athletes due to their strict health specifications. The beverages align perfectly with the global consumer shift towards healthier lifestyles by offering a clean formulation:
Natural Sweetener: Relies entirely on the Stevia plant as a natural alternative to traditional sugar.
Zero Additives: Completely free from aspartame, phosphoric acid, artificial colors, and synthetic flavors.
Low-Calorie Profile: Sugar-free and caffeine-free, keeping caloric intake significantly low.
Looking ahead, Abdel Fattah stated that Egypt remains the only market in the Middle East where the global Green Cola product is manufactured locally. The group aims to introduce new flavors, aggressively expand its domestic market share, and boost its export footprint into North African countries, specifically targeting Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco.
Viral Spotlight: Green Cola recently gained widespread traction on social media after its cans were prominently spotted on the table during a high-profile meeting between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, sparking immense public curiosity and online engagement regarding the brand.
