Egypt Partakes in Inclusive Africa Conference 2026
Egypt, represented by the National Academy of Information Technology for Persons with Disabilities (NAID), in collaboration with Engineers for a Sustainable Egypt (ESE) and the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD), is participating in the 7th Inclusive Africa Conference 2026, held on June 2–4 in Nairobi, Kenya. The event will be streamed live at NAID’s premises in Knowledge City, the New Capital.
The conference is Africa's largest event dedicated to disability and digital inclusion. It serves as a platform for advancing practical, Africa-led solutions that ensure persons with disabilities (PwDs) are not left behind in the digital and AI-driven future, and exploring ways to use accessibility tools, inclusive design, and assistive technologies at scale.
This year's edition, held under the theme “Accelerating Digital Accessibility and AI Solutions for Africa’s Future,” focuses on employment, education, innovation, and financial services. Its agenda includes keynote speeches by global accessibility leaders, panel discussions and fireside chats on digital inclusion, policy, and innovation, as well as workshops, hands-on training sessions, and an exhibition showcasing assistive technologies and accessible solutions.
The conference is expected to bring together more than 300 in-person attendees and over 2,000 virtual participants across 20 African countries, including disability and accessibility experts, policymakers, researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and representatives from governments and the private sector.
It is worth highlighting that Inclusive Africa Conference, since its launch in 2020, has aimed to turn policy commitments and innovations into tangible impact for PwDs across the continent by developing more inclusive products and services that create equitable opportunities for all. The event has worked to foster cross-sector partnerships across government, the private sector, civil society, and academia, supporting Africa-led pathways toward inclusive, accessible, and ethical technology.
