e-finance for Digital and Financial Investments extended its gains on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) during May, marking its second consecutive monthly rise. The stock's upward momentum was heavily supported by the company’s strong financial performance and surging investor confidence in fintech and digital transformation shares, driving the company's market capitalization to EGP 78 billion by the close of trading.
Stock Performance and Liquidity During May, e-finance’s share price rallied by 9.22% to close at EGP 22.500, up from EGP 20.600 in the previous month. This sharp increase translated into massive market value gains, with the company’s market capitalization adding approximately EGP 6.587 billion to settle at EGP 78 billion, compared to EGP 71.413 billion in the prior month. The stock witnessed highly active trading, with around 48.833 million shares changing hands for a total transaction value of EGP 1.066 billion.
Financial Drivers and Earnings Growth The bullish performance followed the release of the company's first-quarter financial results for 2026. Net profits surged by 39.5% to reach EGP 856.2 million, up from EGP 613.8 million recorded during the same period in 2025, driven by the continuous expansion of digital services and electronic transactions. Consolidated revenues grew by nearly 39% year-on-year to approximately EGP 2.2 billion, while operating profits posted robust growth on the back of rising electronic transaction volumes and cloud services. Currently, e-finance’s issued capital stands at EGP 1.733 billion, divided into 3.466 billion shares with a par value of EGP 0.50 per share.
Ownership Structure The company’s shareholding structure is distributed among several major institutional investors. The Saudi Egyptian Investment Company (SEIC) holds the largest stake at 25.75%, followed by the National Investment Bank (NIB) at 21.81%. Banque Misr owns 6.90%, while the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Egyptian Banks Company (EBC) each hold 6.70%. The Egyptian Investment Projects Company also maintains a 6.70% stake, while the remaining 25.44% is held by other minority shareholders and public free float.
