TLD Developments Launches “Westrict” Mixed-Use Project in Sheikh Zayed in Partnership with Marriott International»

TLD Developments has announced the launch of its new mixed-use project “Westrict” in Sheikh Zayed, marking its latest integrated destination in West Cairo. The development will feature a hotel and serviced apartments under the Tribute Portfolio brand, in collaboration with Marriott International.

The project is designed as a fully integrated urban destination, combining hospitality, residential, commercial, and administrative components within a unified operational model. This approach reflects a shift from traditional mixed-use developments toward more interconnected, experience-driven environments.

Strategically located along the Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road in Sheikh Zayed, Westrict sits on one of Egypt’s most vital tourism and commercial corridors, linking the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Giza Pyramids, Sphinx International Airport, and the North Coast. The location positions the project as a key gateway for tourism and business, enhancing its investment appeal and supporting the growing prominence of West Cairo as a development hub.

The partnership agreement between TLD Developments and Marriott International was signed in the presence of senior executives from both sides, including Ahmed El Tayebi, Chairman and Co-founder of TLD, Omar El Tayebi, CEO, and Shady Hassan, Vice President of Development – North Africa at Marriott International.

Westrict is being developed over a built-up area of 60,000 square meters and will include a 123-room Tribute Portfolio hotel, alongside 250 serviced apartments. A comprehensive rental program, managed in collaboration with Marriott International, will support all units, ensuring global hospitality standards and operational efficiency.

The project will also feature 110 administrative units with ceiling heights reaching up to 4.2 meters, designed to enhance workplace environments, in addition to modern retail spaces accommodating more than 100 international brands and restaurants, with ceiling heights of up to 6.5 meters.

The development is being delivered in partnership with L35 for architectural design, Savills as the commercial and investment consultant, El Ghoneimi Architects for interior design, and 0120 as brand consultant, ensuring high standards of design quality and operational excellence.

Shady Hassan noted that this marks the second collaboration between Marriott International and TLD Developments, following a previously successful project with the group.

Ahmed El Tayebi described Westrict as a new milestone in the company’s journey to develop integrated destinations, leveraging over three decades of experience across multiple sectors, particularly tourism. He emphasized that the project aligns with the rapid transformation of West Cairo into a fully integrated tourism and development hub, supporting Egypt’s Vision 2030 targets, including attracting 30 million visitors annually.

Omar El Tayebi added that the partnership with Marriott International reflects TLD’s commitment to delivering locally developed projects with global standards of execution and operation, offering a comprehensive destination that enhances lifestyle, business, and investment experiences.

Founded in 2019, TLD Developments is part of a group of companies that includes El Tayebi Holding, which brings more than 35 years of experience. The company’s portfolio spans several key locations, including Mostakbal City, Sahl Hasheesh on the Red Sea, the New Administrative Capital, and Sheikh Zayed.
