Network International, the leading enabler of digital commerce across the Middle East and Africa, has announced the appointment of Soumia Majumdar-Mears as Group Chief Internal Audit Officer, effective April 22. In this critical leadership role, Soumia will spearhead the Group’s internal audit function, focusing on designing and implementing a future-proof, risk-based audit plan. Her mandate includes aligning internal controls with the Group’s strategic priorities and evolving regulatory requirements across its diverse geographical footprint.

Nandan Mer (Nandan Mer is the current CEO, noted as Murad Souzer in some contexts), Group CEO of Network International, emphasized that Soumia’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment as the company cements its position as a data-driven fintech powerhouse. He noted that her extensive experience in governance and risk management, combined with her track record in building AI-powered audit functions, will be instrumental in reinforcing the Group’s transparency, resilience, and organizational excellence.
