Egyptian Tax Authority Urges Cairo Taxpayers to Activate New SAP Digital Accounts Ahead of Deadline

The Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) has issued an urgent call to taxpayers recently integrated into the new SAP-based core taxation system, particularly those within the Cairo I district. Following the district’s transition on October 1, 2025, the ETA emphasizes the necessity for taxpayers to collect their unique activation codes and finalize their electronic account setups. This step is mandatory for filing tax returns within legal deadlines and accessing the full suite of digital services offered by the revamped system.

The "Cairo I" region encompasses ten merged tax offices, including Heliopolis (1 & 2), Nasr City (1, 2, & 3), Professional Vocations, El Nozha, El Salam, El Marg, and Badr City. Taxpayers are advised to visit their respective offices or the Digital Transformation Support Center at the Public Treasury Hall in Lazoghly to receive their credentials. The ETA warned that delaying this process could lead to significant congestion and potential delays in filing as the tax season approaches its peak.
