Giza Chamber of Commerce Partners with Honor and NBE to Boost Smartphone Retail Sector
The Communications and Mobile Retailers Division at the Giza Chamber of Commerce has signed a tripartite cooperation protocol with the Chinese smartphone giant Honor and the National Bank of Egypt (NBE). This strategic alliance is designed to support local mobile retailers by providing a comprehensive package of financial incentives and credit facilities aimed at driving sales volumes amidst a challenging economic landscape.
Mohamed Hedaya Al-Haddad, Board Member of the Giza Chamber and Head of the Communications Division, stated that the agreement focuses on creating sustainable financing mechanisms through NBE for distributors and retailers. The partnership also addresses recent pricing surges; Honor representatives confirmed that pricing policies are currently under review to mitigate market stagnation, despite global supply chain pressures and regional tensions. This collaboration marks the first phase of a broader initiative to link national banking institutions with global technology brands to empower the Egyptian retail ecosystem.
