Valeo Egypt Marks 20 Years as a Global Software Engineering Hub
The launch of the new AI development center coincides with Valeo celebrating 20 years of operations in Egypt, during which its local entity has evolved into one of the group’s most prominent global software development hubs.
Valeo Egypt is currently the largest software development center within the group, contributing approximately 50% of its global software output, while exporting nearly 4 million engineering hours annually in research and development.
The company employs more than 3,000 Egyptian engineers who are actively involved in developing core technologies for future mobility, including autonomous driving systems, automated parking solutions, digital cockpit technologies, and electric powertrain systems. These innovations are powered by advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, deep learning, cloud computing, and data science.
Christophe Périllat, CEO of Valeo Group, stated that Valeo Egypt has emerged as a leading center for high-value engineering and innovation over the past two decades. He noted that the launch of the AI center represents a key milestone aligned with the group’s global strategy to embed AI across all engineering activities, particularly in software development.
Valeo Egypt’s engineering teams have also secured patents in advanced technology fields, reflecting the strength and global competitiveness of Egyptian talent.
