Egypt’s ICT Ministry and Oracle Expand Strategic Cooperation to Accelerate National Digital Transformation
Eng. Raafat Hindy, Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), met today with Walid Ahmed, Oracle’s Regional Director and VP of Cloud Applications for ECEMEA, to discuss expanding the tech giant’s footprint in Egypt. The meeting centered on aligning Oracle’s advanced cloud and AI solutions with Egypt’s national digital transformation projects. Minister Hindy emphasized the government's commitment to establishing Egypt as a premier regional data hub, highlighting the strategic expansion of high-capacity data centers and the promotion of cloud computing as a catalyst for economic growth.
The discussions concluded with an agreement to hold specialized workshops focused on integrating Oracle’s latest technological frameworks into Egypt’s government services. By fostering an attractive investment climate, MCIT aims to encourage global tech leaders like Oracle to scale their operations locally, ensuring that Egypt remains at the forefront of the Middle East’s digital economy.
