Egypt’s MSMEDA and Orange Corners Ink Strategic Partnership to Bolster Startup Ecosystem and Inclusive Growth
The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) has signed a landmark cooperation agreement with Outreach Egypt, the implementing partner for the Orange Corners Egypt program. Signed by MSMEDA CEO Bassel Rahmy and Outreach Egypt GM Heba El-Refai, the agreement aims to deliver a comprehensive suite of non-financial support services to Egyptian entrepreneurs, enhancing the national economy’s competitiveness through international expertise and sustainable innovation.
The partnership, supported by the Netherlands Embassy, focuses on creating an incubator environment for startups in Upper Egypt and the Delta. H.E. Peter Mollema, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Egypt, highlighted that over 50% of the entrepreneurs supported by Orange Corners are women, reflecting a shared commitment to gender parity and inclusive economic development. This collaboration aligns with Egypt’s Law No. 152 of 2020, providing entrepreneurs with the legislative and regulatory frameworks necessary to scale their businesses and access regional markets.
