East Port Said Welcomes MV PAROSHIP: The Largest Dry Bulk Vessel Ever to Dock at an Egyptian Port

The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) announced today a historic maritime milestone as East Port Said Port welcomed the MV PAROSHIP, the largest dry bulk vessel ever to berth at an Egyptian port. Arriving from Mauritania, the massive ship docked at the Sky Ports multi-purpose terminal, marking a breakthrough in Egypt’s operational capacity to handle ultra-large bulk carriers.

With a staggering capacity of 180,000 tons and a length of 292 meters, the MV PAROSHIP surpasses previous Cape Size records at the port. Mr. Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of SCZONE, stated that this achievement reflects global confidence in Egypt’s maritime infrastructure. "Our ports are now equipped to handle the world's largest vessels according to international standards, reinforcing Egypt’s position as a premier regional and global logistical hub," Gamal El-Din noted, emphasizing the strategic investments made to ensure supply chain resilience amid shifting global trade dynamics.
