Under the Patronage of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, CAISEC ’26 Returns to Reshape Digital Sovereignty Strategies
The International Cybersecurity and Information Security Conference and Exhibition – CAISEC ’26 is set to mark its fifth anniversary as one of the Middle East and Africa’s most dynamic and influential cybersecurity platforms, reinforcing its status as a landmark event on the regional digital security calendar.
Held under the patronage of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly for the third consecutive year, CAISEC ’26 will take place on June 8–9, convening leading industry figures and decision-makers from across the Arab and African regions. This year’s edition comes at a pivotal moment, as accelerating geopolitical shifts continue to redefine national security concepts worldwide, while artificial intelligence evolves at a rapid and increasingly critical pace.
The conference also enjoys special patronage from Egypt’s Ministries of Finance, Health, Transport, Higher Education, and Military Production. It is organized in ongoing strategic cooperation with the League of Arab States through the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization, as well as Smart Africa and the African Network of Cybersecurity Authorities. These collaborations provide CAISEC with a distinctive Arab and African dimension, positioning it as a uniquely comprehensive regional platform.
Under the theme “Grounding the Future: Securing the Unpredictable,” CAISEC ’26 underscores the urgent need to keep pace with evolving geopolitical dynamics, anticipate emerging cyber threats, adapt to rapid technological change, and strengthen institutional resilience. The edition is being held amid an unprecedented surge in cyberattacks during the first months of the year, with no sector spared from threats posed by organized criminal networks or nation-state actors seeking strategic influence.
The event will bring together senior government officials, heads of national cybersecurity authorities from across the Arab and African regions, cybersecurity experts from leading global and regional companies, entrepreneurs and startup founders specializing in security technologies, representatives of financial institutions and telecommunications companies, and major technology solution providers.
CAISEC aims to strengthen strategic partnerships, shape forward-looking cybersecurity visions, enhance cross-border coordination and knowledge exchange, analyze emerging regional threat patterns, and advance digital sovereignty through innovation, policy alignment, and investment in talent development.
In addition to high-level dialogue, CAISEC ’26 will serve as a strategic platform for forging international partnerships and facilitating impactful discussions that help shape the future of cybersecurity both regionally and globally. A dedicated technology exhibition will showcase advanced cybersecurity solutions from leading international and regional firms, alongside cutting-edge AI-driven technologies designed to protect critical and digital infrastructure in sectors such as banking, energy, telecommunications, and industry.
The two-day program will feature high-level panel discussions, sector-focused roundtables, keynote addresses, and specialized workshops. At its conclusion, the conference will issue strategic recommendations to be submitted to senior decision-makers at national and regional levels.
Commenting on the fifth consecutive edition, Ossama Kamal, CEO of Mercury Communications, the conference organizer, expressed pride in CAISEC’s transformation into a central regional hub uniting decision-makers and experts to advance cybersecurity ecosystems and reinforce digital defense strategies. He emphasized that the conference also strengthens Egypt’s position as a leading regional center in one of the most critical domains of digital transformation.
“Since its inception five years ago, CAISEC has embodied a forward-looking vision,” Kamal said. “Digital security is no longer optional; it is a pillar of national security and state sovereignty. Our mission is to bring together strategic thinkers and leaders to build a safe and sustainable digital future, while establishing strong technological bridges between Arab and African countries to exchange expertise and counter cyber warfare.”
Kamal also expressed appreciation to Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly for his continued patronage over the past three editions, commending the government’s engagement with the conference’s outcomes and recommendations. He further acknowledged the support of participating ministers and their commitment to contributing to the event’s specialized sessions.
