The deadline for receiving building permit applications to complete 75% of the total rooftop floor area has been extended until the end of May.
The Board of Directors of the New Urban Communities Authority, in its meeting chaired by Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, approved a memorandum regarding extending the deadline for receiving building permit applications for rooftop additions resulting from the completion of 75% of the total rooftop area.
The approval stipulates that building permit applications for rooftop additions, up to a maximum of 75% of the total rooftop area, will be accepted for small residential plots located within the New Urban Communities Authority's cities until the end of May 2026, under the same terms and conditions outlined in the relevant decisions and correspondence. The Authority's various sectors are authorized to grant further extensions, with notification to the city authorities to implement these extensions according to established regulations.
