Fawry Partners with Talabat to Provide Medical Coverage for Delivery Drivers Through “Sehetak Fawry”
Fawry, Egypt’s leading fintech company, has announced a strategic partnership with Talabat, the region’s leading technology-driven e-commerce and on-demand delivery platform, to provide comprehensive medical insurance for more than 800 top-performing Talabat delivery drivers through Fawry’s digital insurance product, “Sehetak Fawry.”
The initiative offers drivers enhanced medical coverage as well as accident insurance, delivered in cooperation with GIG Egypt. The partnership underscores the shared commitment of Fawry and Talabat to supporting essential workers within the digital economy and delivering sustainable healthcare solutions that promote long-term stability and wellbeing.
The collaboration was announced during Talabat’s “Heroes’ Recognition Ceremony,” held to honor the efforts and vital role of its delivery drivers. Fawry participated as an official sponsor of the event, reaffirming its dedication to empowering key segments of the platform economy through practical and inclusive financial and insurance solutions.
“Sehetak Fawry” is a fully digital health insurance product offered through Fawry Insurance Brokerage, following the company’s success in distributing more than 700,000 digital insurance policies through its insurance arm. The product provides flexible coverage options tailored to different needs and is easily accessible via the MyFawry app and the MyFawry prepaid yellow card, ensuring seamless access to healthcare services for eligible drivers.
The program delivers comprehensive medical coverage—introduced for the first time in this form in the Egyptian market—alongside essential accident protection, reflecting Fawry’s focus on developing practical solutions that enhance the security and resilience of gig economy workers.
