Oppo Launches Water-Resistant A6x Smartphone With High-End Battery and 5G Support
Chinese smartphone maker Oppo announced on Friday the launch of its new A6x smartphone, which features certified resistance to water and dust based on IP64 protection standards. The model expands Oppo’s A-series lineup with enhanced durability, making it suitable for users seeking a reliable device for everyday use and outdoor environments.
Display and Performance
The Oppo A6x features a 6.7-inch LCD display with a 1604 × 720-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, providing smooth browsing and video playback experiences. The screen delivers a peak brightness of 1125 nits, supporting visibility under direct lighting conditions.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset, bringing modern network capabilities and improved overall efficiency. The smartphone is available with either 4GB or 6GB RAM, paired with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card. The model also supports dual SIM functionality.
Camera and Battery Capabilities
The A6x is equipped with a 13MP rear camera, while the front-facing 5MP camera enables clear selfie shots and video calls. The phone houses a 6,500mAh battery, offering extended daily usage, and supports 45W fast charging, allowing users to recharge efficiently.

In a parallel announcement, Oppo introduced the Reno14 F Star Wars Limited Edition, featuring customized aesthetic elements inspired by the Star Wars universe. The special version comes with a unique rear panel showcasing Darth Vader’s helmet, the Death Star icon, and Star Wars inscriptions, catering to fans seeking a collectible device.
The frame and back cover are finished in dark gray, with a striking red-accented power button, and a customized interface includes Star Wars-themed wallpapers and animations.
The limited-edition smartphone is delivered in an exclusive collector’s box containing additional accessories, including a 45W USB-C charger, a matching charging cable, a SIM card tool, a Darth Vader keychain, and a Death Star-themed phone stand.
Technically, the Reno14 F Star Wars model mirrors the standard Reno14 F configuration, running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, with a 6,000mAh battery supporting 45W fast charging.
