Gold prices in Egypt remained stable on Monday, December 1, 2025, in line with the stability of the global price of the precious metal before the opening of trading.

The price of a gram of 21-karat gold, the most popular in Egypt, recorded 5635 Egyptian pounds in morning trading, while the price of a gram of 24-karat gold recorded 6440 Egyptian pounds, the price of a gram of 18-karat gold recorded 4830 Egyptian pounds, and the price of a pound coin was 45,000 Egyptian pounds

Saeed Embaby, CEO of the iSagha platform, said that gold prices in the local market rose during November by 5.6% and a value of 300 pounds, as the price of a gram of 21-karat gold opened the month's trading at 5350 pounds and closed at 5650 pounds. In contrast, the price of an ounce rose globally by 5.3% and a value of 213 dollars, as it opened the month's trading at 4003 dollars and closed at 4216 dollars.

Embaby pointed out that gold prices in the local markets rose by about 200 pounds during last week's trading, as the price of a gram of 21-karat gold opened trading at 5450 pounds and closed at 5650 pounds, while the ounce on the global stock exchange rose by about $151, as the ounce opened trading at $4065 and closed at $4216

A gram of 24-karat gold recorded about 6457 pounds, and 18-karat gold about 4843 pounds, while the gold pound settled at 45200 pounds.

The report attributes these moves to increased demand for gold both locally and globally, supported by strong expectations of a US interest rate cut
